Your Digital Assets Deserve b2bfiles.net

The digital economy is growing. Fast.

Today, your files are more important than ever. Your files represent you and your organization's hard work. Sending your digital assets to clients using FTP is a disservice to you and your clients. Not only is FTP a hassle for your clients in terms of accessing your files, but it's also a lackluster vehicle for your files.

b2b files, not only transports your heavy files, but it also emphasizes the value and importance of your files.

Email Large Files Vs. File Transfer

There are two approaches to sending large files. The first approach is to 'attach' files to an email by offloading the files to an external file server and inserting a direct (URL) link to those files inside the email body for all recipients of the email to access.

The second approach is to use a file transfer service like b2bfiles.net which bypasses your email service. The file transfer service will send the files privately and securely to the individual recipients, including the subject and body, in a way similar to email. Each recipient receives an email notification which includes a unique URL to access the delivery (subject, message, and files). When a recipient picks up the files delivered, an email notification, containing the time and identity of the recipient, is sent to the sender.

The latter method has the advantage of a receipt confirmation (identifying who viewed your files and when the delivery was picked up), which is an important requirement for some users needing proof of delivery.

File Transfer + File Sharing = b2bfiles.net

Most software services offering either File Sharing or File Transfer services rarely offer both purebred solutions under one roof. And, those who offer both services often start with one service and then extend their software to offer the latter. Extending one service to build the other often leads to complex and troublesome work-flow methodologies. For example, a File Sharing service may boast the capabilities of File Transfer by allowing a shared file to be sent as a delivery to a client. This approach is flawed if the file is not recreated and packaged as an independent delivery. If the shared file is deleted by accident, the delivery (File Transfer), which inherits that file, would subsequently be corrupted.

b2b files offers a purebred File Transfer and purebred File Sharing solution under one roof. Both solutions are built independently and work together flawlessly. If a shared file is sent as a delivery, the file is in fact recreated for the delivery and is decoupled from the shared version of the file.

Legal professionals use b2b files to communicate with their clients

Legal professionals use b2bfiles.net to keep their clients up-to-date on their cases. The lawyers create a shared folder (named using the case file name), then grants access to the clients.

As the lawyer updates the folder with the latest case files, the clients get an email notification with a list of new documents added to their case.

The clients appreciate seeing files added to their case as they can see the progress, development and work their lawyer is putting into their case.
